Disney’s latest animated movie.
Hiro Hamada (voiced by Ryan Potter) is a genius who is spending his time fighting robots. His brother, Tadashi (Daniel Henney), introduces him to his friends at school and encourages him to apply. Unfortunately, tragedy strikes and Hiro instead uses his brain for vengenance and tries to become a superhero with the help of Tadashi’s invention Baymax (Scott Adsit).
Loved it! Shocking right? I pretty much knew I would the second Baymax was introduced in the marketing. But really, it’s Disney, it’s a superhero movie, there’s like nothing to turn me off. I loved all the characters (but Baymax the most). I appreciated that every character was fleshed out, especially the ladies Honey Lemon (Genesis Rodriguez) and GoGo Tomago (Jamie Chung). The character design was great, but I really enjoyed the location design of San Fransokyo. It was gorgeous. It was a typical superhero origin story and they pulled some cliches from other movies but it’s really enjoyable, smart, and fun. And STAY AFTER THE CREDITS.
